Nice to meet you!
I’m Kristen Franklin. I bring over 25 years of experience in the field of education, from informal learning environments to teaching rhetoric and communications at Stanford University. At Digital Promise, I led all product work to benefit educator-facing competency-based assessments. In my tenure, I scaled the Digital Promise Micro-credential Platform to 200% growth year-over-year, cultivated the pivotal first international partnerships with Universities in Thailand, Korea, and International Baccalaureate, and launched Badge Engine from zero to one.
Earlier in my career, I scaled George Lucas Educational Foundation: Edutopia in its publishing reach to over 15 million readers as Managing Editor. I’ve managed capacity building and digital initiatives at numerous Bay Area nonprofits as well.
I hold a Masters from John F. Kennedy University, a Bachelors from University of California, Davis, and numerous certifications and short-form credentials. My full CV can be found on LinkedIn.
